Fontan® Mobilstar fogging machine

The Application:
FONTAN Mobilstar, our truck mountable ULV/LV aerosol generator for vector control and public health tasks.
Efficient control of mosquitos and other flying vectors in urban and rural environments as well with adulticides as with larvicides.
Pest control for health and hygeine in public, private and commercial areas like camps, resorts, industrial parks, fair grounds, subway systems, ships, golf courses, marinas and recreation areas.
Indoor application with knockdown and residual effect in large warehouses, factories, depots, port installations and hangers.
Locust control by LV or ULV spraying.
Agricultural applications: e.g. plant protection in plantations and shaded horticultural cultivations using ULV/ULV plus or LV mode.
Animal health measures in poultry production, feed lots and any other intensive animal keeping installations.

The Advantages:
The FONTAN Mobilstar produces an aerosol fog of highest efficiency and penetration. With a minimum quantity of chemical preparation an optimal effect and coverage is achieved. Our chemical saving saving technology meets both aspects, economical and environmental. Especially the Mobilstar ER secures the correct dosage of chemicals, even at varying vehicle speeds.
The machine is capable to process not only ready made ULV fromulations but also almost all concentrated emulsions, solutions and dispersions.
The FONTAN Mobilstar can be employed in the modes:
ULV (output 5-50 ltr/hr)
ULV-Plus (51-100 ltr/hr)
LV (5-100 ltr/hr)
Providing the appropiate droplets and drifting characteristics for each method.
The ULV-Plus mode is working with higher flow rates resulting in an enlarged ULV droplet spectrum and consequently a reduced drift.
FONTAN - a synonym for efficient, economic and professional cold fogging.

Working Principles:
The ULV/LV cold fogging machine FONTAN Mobilstar is driven by a 16hp 4 stroke engine. A dry running side channel type compressor produces a low pressure airstream of high velocity which is further accelerated in the specially designed spraying heads generating an extremely fine and homogenous droplet spectrum. Thanks to the low pressure system a nozzle configuration with large diameters could be installed which allows the application of not ont ULV formations but also of dispersions including WP's.
The chemical prearation is conveyed by pressure (type M) and by a chemical resistant gear pump (types E and ER). The sparaying heads are universally adjustable. The machine is equipped with a 5 litre tank for flushing liquid to clean the chemical solution conveying system.
By reducing the airstream at the spraying heads the FONTAN Mobilstar can also be operated in the LV mode. Larger droplets with reduced drift are generated.

The Technique: Fontan's half century experience with thermal fogging and cold fogging technology consequently led to the design of the Fontan Mobilstar, our innovative truck mountable cold fog generator. Experience and engineering skills culminate in latest state-of-the-art design of a reliable, robust, compact and easy to handle machine. We offer the FONTAN Mobilstar in three versions:
Type M:
The flow rate (litre/hour) is selectable through an integrated flowmeter and a flow control valve. The calibration is done by means of viscosity charts.
Type E:
The flow rate (litre/hour) is selected via keyboard and is electronically controlled and calibrated under consideration of the viscosity of the spraying liquid.
Type ER:
Offers both operation modes: litre per hour and litre per kilometer. The flow rate, either l/h or l/km is selected via the keyboard and is electronically controlled and calibrated automatically under consideration of the viscosity of the spraying liquid. In the mode litre per KM the output is speed synchronized by a radar device with an operational speed range between 3 and 20 km/h.
No mechanical coupling or interface to the driving vehicle is necessary.
The three versions are equipped with an illuminated keyboard for the control of all operational functions. The keyboard is detachable and can be used as a remote control to operate the machine from inside of the drivers cabin.
