Misting And Fogging Nozzles
Precision Hollow Cone Nozzles.
Moulded in POLYACETAL the right material for the job.
Wear Resistance:
Polyacetal is a highly stable material with excellent wear
characteristics. Tests conducted by Oregon state university, USA shows
Polyacetal to be superior to conventional materials and equal to more
costly stainless steel.
Duration of tests = 400 hours |

Typical Poultry House Installations
Traditional overhead atomiser arrangement using PVC pipe and solvent
weld fittings.
A: 5001 reservoir with lid
B: Pump with electric prime motor
C: Suction filter / bowl type
D: Pressure filter / bowl type, in place of 'E'
E: Pressure filter bowl type in each line of atomisers (in place of
'D')
G: Pressure gauge
a: Distance between lines of atomisers-3m
b: Distance between atomisers-2.5 / 3m
c: Distance from shed eaves-3m |
 |
Test Data:
Spray medium-AA Trex 80W (Ciba-Giegy®) of a concentration of 4%
Test pressure = 3bar/g (40psi)
Reference-Extract from ASE paper on wear characteristics of fan
nozzles.
Author-Dr. M. J. Novak of Oregon State University USA. |
|
Features:
- Variety of flow rates
- Wide pressure range 3-14 bar (40-200psi)
- Less susceptible to deposit build up and blockage
- Threaded and Flanged version
- Fine droplets for effective evaporative cooling
|
Applications:
- Poultry / livestock cooling
- Recreational areas
- Storage areas and warehouses
- Greenhouses
- Supermarket displays of fruit, veg and seafood
- Odour control
|
Latest arrangement using pads and extractor fans:
A: Banks of fogging nozzles onto the fogging pads
B: Extractor fans draw air through the fogging pads thereby evaporating
the spray droplets. The resulting cooler air is drawn through the shed
reducing the internal temperature |
